why is it that being accepted has such a high price? from the hair to the clothes to your life. everything has a price tag. you want to be one of them. you want them to love you like they love their identical best friend. you do as they do, talk like they talk, whatever it takes. all to be one of them. you think their life is easier than yours. you are wrong. you think their family is more sane than yours. you are wrong. you think that they are better than you. YOU ARE WRONG. it's them that think they are better than you, stuck in their world of sameness. how could you want to be a part of that? i don't. i want to live in the world as myself and not have to be classified. i'm often called something i would never label myself, not in a million years. what's sad is how that label makes my best friend and i automatically accepted into the club. Oh, I love your hair! they say. whan what they mean is Mine's better. Wow, those shoes are cool! they say. when what they mean is I was just on my way to Rite-Aid to get the same exact ones. it's a never-ending cycle. straighten the hair, put on five layers of clothes that don't match, look "original", go to shows, smoke outside, look "cool", dance like an idiot, leave without anyone noticing, get drunk, take extreme angled pictures, check your myspace, finally go to sleep at 2 am. start over in the morning. make sure to write a dramatic poem and update your livejournal every now and then. who wants that life? who would try to have that life? what's so wrong with being and thinking for yourself?
